PORTFOLIO

Strategy

Mission Peak Capital invests in commercial real estate and related securities with two goals; the preservation of its equity capital and the ability to generate attractive, and risk-adjusted returns through the employment of value-add strategies. Mission Peak Capital seeks to out-perform the broader real estate markets through capitalizing on market inefficiencies, including the inability for traditional lenders and servicers to maximize value through repositioning and disposition strategies, and through its ability to source both equity and debt investments through non-traditional and off-market transactions.

Criteria

Mission Peak Capital’s investment team employs a top down streamlined evaluation and analysis process necessary to meet the varied timeframe and capitalization objectives of sellers and borrowers providing a high degree of certainty of close.

Real Estate Debt

Investments generally range from $5 and $50 million, primarily focusing on defaulted mortgage loans collateralized by office, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use properties throughout the continental United States. Post-acquisition, Mission Peak moves quickly to enforce its rights through foreclosure or to negotiate a mutually beneficial resolution with the borrower, through either a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure or a recapitalization of the borrowing entity. Post-enforcement, Mission Peak implements value-add and repositioning strategies, including leasing, tenant relations, and capital improvement.
